The hospitality and tourism industry faces a number of workforce challenges, especially the high turnover rates and associated replacement costs associated with continually identifying and hiring new employees. The purpose of this paper is to discuss how hospitality and tourism organizations can use electronic human resource management eHRM and artificial intelligence AI to help recruit and select qualified employees, increase individual retention rates and decrease the time needed to replace employees.

The benefits of eHRM and AI for talent acquisition

The banking industry is one of the major sectors contributing to the Bangladesh economy; it needs a considerable number of qualified and potential employees to attain the organization's goal. This study's main objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of the recruitment and selection process in the banking industry of Bangladesh based on the perception and experience of recently recruited employees in different private and public limited banks. Primary data were used to conduct a quantitative analysis for the following research problem. Therefore, 84 samples were retrieved out of samples. Diagnostic test concludes that primary data are not normally distributed.

An Empirical Analysis of Recruitment and Selection Practices in the Public Sector

Management literature discusses that the behavioral traits of employees can play an important role in the success of total quality management TQM. However, little empirical research exists in this regard. Using an international dataset, the present study investigates: the impact of quality management practices on plant competitiveness; and the moderating effect of an employee selection process on the relationship between quality management practices and plant competitiveness. Results show that quality management practices positively impact plant competitiveness. Furthermore, the behavioral traits of employees seem to have a significant impact on the effectiveness of quality management practices.
